Beginners Age 4-12
Pre-school Beginners: (4 and 5 years) This class is for four and five year olds who cannot swim. Daily themes and floatation aids create fun-filled lessons to teach the children how to move through the water 10 feet. Final Goals: *8-10 Second Breath Control, *Independent Back Float, *Kick 10 Feet, *Independent Jump Turn Swim and *Independent 10 Feet Swim with Windmill Arms.
Beginners: (6 years and up) This class is for six years and up who cannot swim. Floatation aids are used to teach students to swim 10 feet. Final Goals: *8-10 Second Breath Control, *Independent Back Float, *Kick 10 Feet, *Independent Jump Turn Swim and *Independent 10 Feet Swim with Windmill Arms.
Advanced Beginners: (4 and up) This class is for four years and up who already can swim 10 feet and have mastered the Pre-school Beginner or Beginner course. They will work on distance, breathing and treading water in this class. Final Goals: *Tread Water 10 seconds transition to Back Float, *Surface Streamline 5 FT., Back Kick Glide 5 FT and *Independent Swim 15 Feet with Rollover Breath.
Super Beginners: (4 and up) This class is for four years and up who are capable of swimming 15 feet and have mastered the Advanced Beginners course. Students will learn rolling breaths to prep for side breathing. They will also begin to learn the whip kick for the elementary backstroke. Final Goals: *Whip Kick with Kick board 15 Feet and *Independent Swim 20 Feet with Rolling Breath.
X-treme Beginners: (4 and up) This class is for four years and up who swim 20 feet and roll to side for a breath along with mastery of the Super Beginners course. They will be mastering the elementary backstroke and unilateral breathing. Final Goals: *Independent Unilateral Breathing 30 Feet, *Elementary Backstroke.
